Young Engineers Club
During the summer we host a STEM program for kids K-5. This program consists of hour-long classes where kids can learn fun, out-of-the-box STEM challenges. These challenges promote out-of-the-box thinking and an interest in STEM at a young age. All of our members help host these classes throughout the summer. Class size is limited to 30 students and most are filled to capacity. We run about 7-10 sessions per summer. Examples of some challenges include: programming a Lego robot, building a boat that can support army figures out of given materials and building a system on the walls that can transport a marble from one spot to another. Through this program we have affected over 500 students, since 2014.
